Phoenix have finally (and officially) returned! After performing the song live this weekend, the Parisian alternative-rock band have shared the studio recording for their brand new track titled “J-Boy.”
The song was premiered through Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 program, and will be included on the band’s forthcoming album Ti Amo, due out on June 9. It will be the band’s first album release in over four years.
Phoenix described the work in a press release:
“It’s a record about our European, Latin roots, a fantasized version of Italy: a lost paradise made of eternal Roman summers (hyper-light, hyper-clarity, pistachio gelato), jukeboxes on the beach, Monica Vitti and Marcello Mastroianni, fearless desire and antique marble statues.”
