It is a well known fact that John Legend & The Roots’ covers album, Wake Up!, was started after Legend hooked up with the band to cover the Arcade Fire’s “Wake Up.” Ironically, the song that launched the album did not end up on the actually final LP, making it the elusive white wale… until now that is! The studio version of the song has officially found its way onto the internet. The song is basically an exact cover of the original, that is until it totally veers off at the end. The song is a really enjoyable tune, and there is no word yet on if it will get an official release.
