June 1st marks Canada’s first-ever Pride Month and what better way to get the celebration going than by starting to plan your cocktail rotation for the month. We’re feeling that easy drinking vibe in that forthcoming heat, so we’ve created a colourful take on a classic swizzle we’re excited to share with our friends while we’re getting ready for the Toronto parade on July 3rd.
Using Absolut Vodka’s new limited edition Absolut Mix bottle, which pays tribute to the rainbow flag, we’ve combined a few spring ingredients for a delicious mix that quite literally tastes like rainbows in your mouth, taking it one step further by replacing the usual fresh mint garnish with a few thin slices of fruit multicoloured fruit. The design of the Absolut Mix bottle blends the six colours of pride in a way that brings them together, yet maintains their individuality – just like their vision to encourage people to connect without labels.

Rainbow Swizzle
Ingredients:
1 ¼ oz Absolut Vodka
¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
½ oz Orgeat syrup
¼ oz Aperol
Rainbow Garnishes
Method:
Combine vodka, lemon juice, orgeat syrup and aperol in collins glass, and fill 2/3 of the glass with crushed ice. Combine mixture using a swizzle stick. Top with more crushed ice until it domes out of the glass and garnish with as handful of rainbow fruit slices.
Absolut Mix will be rolling out on shelves over the first week of June, nationally, for a limited time.
