Inspired by the brilliant colours of Havana’s facades, the Chanel Cruise collection is composed of a multitude of propositions with beautifully feminine and fluid designs. The diaphanous skirts and dresses with their Cadillac prints whirl to the rhythm of salsa music, while knitwear is embroidered with parrots and foliage motifs, tops and skirts are adorned with multi-coloured stripes.
First presented on the runway in Cuba last May, the Cruise collection will be available in CHANEL boutiques this month, offering a boyishly feminine silhouette imbued with a youthful and sensual energy. The little tweed jacket is invigorated with a multi-coloured braid while a sharply cut spencer jacket and lavallière blouse in chiffon frame the extravagant volume of ruffled petticoats embellished with camellias and stylised leaves. Turquoise sequins with their festive vivacity shimmer and shine over an embroidered dress with a low-cut neckline.
To compliment the joyful dancing mood, the two-tone derby shoes make for easy movement and electrify day as much as night, while flap bags and fanny packs embroidered with reversible sequins perfectly accessorize the look.
