While we’re patiently waiting for Arca’s upcoming second album Mutant, we now have Wench to tide us over. Arca and Hood By Air’s Shayne Oliver have formed a new project, called Wench. With the launch of this new duo comes a bad-ass 15 minute video mix, made by frequent Arca collaborator Jesse Kanda. The video mix visually focuses on buildings exploding, matched with some crazy edits of Chemical Brothers, Cher, Arthur Russell, Crystal Castles, t.A.T.u and more. Shayne Oliver closes up the mix rapping at the end.
The piece will be featured in tomorrow’s Hood By Air SS16 show in NYC.
Arca’s Mutant is due out later this year + expect a debut Wench album some time in 2016.
